GENERAL POLICY
Information
- Completed Forms with registration fees and first month's fees should be submitted before the start of all classes, workshops, and programs. These forms will be in our records for your convenience and for our information.
- Classes are not scheduled on Federal or State holidays shown in the website holiday calendar.
- Students are expected to follow directions, perform to the best of their abilities, and to respect others in the class. If necessary, parents will be informed of any misconduct.
- Special Needs (physical, mental, or emotional) should be brought to the attention of the instructor prior to registration, in order to provide all of our students with the most effective learning environment at our studio. Information you give us will be kept in strictest confidence.
- Please ensure the children have had a good meal prior to attending class. (hungry kids have difficulty focusing).
- We will appreciate a month's notice in case you plan to discontinue.
- Art Supplies are included in the fees of all classes, workshops, and programs. For the Fashion design course Pattern making supplies and sewing machines required would be available for use in the studio.
- All students should wind up their work and clean up their spaces before leaving.
- Fashion Design students should clean all the scraps, unwind, switch off and cover the machine before they leave.
- It is important that students are picked up on time due to necessary clean-up and prep time for the next class. Please call in advance if there will be any unusual delays.
- Drinking water is available, we however encourage children to carry their own drinking water.
- We encourage students to practice at home to get the best learning .
MAKEUP CLASS
Eligibility & Limits
- Students are expected to attend all classes they are enrolled in.
- Makeup classes must be taken at the student’s class level or below.
- Makeup classes will be not given if there are five weeks for that day
- Please text in advance if there will be any absence due to unavoidable reasons.
- Student artists/ designers will be allowed 3 make-up classes per academy semester.
- Makeup classes must be used within 6 weeks of a missed class or they will be forfeited.
- When we cancel a class for some unseen reason, a make-up class will be scheduled for the batch.
PAYMENT
Information
- Course Fees are structured as per class level and are payable every month.
- We request you to pay the fees in the first week of the month with reference to the student’s name.
- Payment can be made via Google Pay/ Zelle/ Venmo/ Paypal/ check.
- There will be no makeup class or fees exemption for the Federal Holidays mentioned in the Kalaa Calendar.
- For Winter break and Summer break fees will be prorated.

Waiver
Although the safety and well-being of your child is our top priority at Kalaa Art & Design, we (Kalaa Art & Design, Nidhi Sharda studio owner, volunteers, consultants, and staff) will not be responsible for and will be forever RELEASED from any injury (ies), claims, and/or any other liability arising from your child’s attendance and participation in our services and programs at Kalaa Art & Design, and/or for any lost property left behind by your child. By signing this waiver form, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless from any and all injury (ies), claims, causes of action, and/or any other liability arising from your child’s attendance and participation in our services and programs the above-mentioned RELEASES at Kalaa Art & Design Arts Studio. You further affirm that you understand the contents of this agreement and are free to choose not to participate in a said program or make use of said services. By signing on the registration form you affirm that you have decided to allow your child to participate in programs and services provided at Kalaa Art & Design With the full knowledge that the RELEASES will not be liable to anyone for personal injuries and property damage to your child or you may suffer while at Kalaa Art & Design Art Studio.
